Get Involved

EPIC Family Retreats exists because no family should walk through a life-threatening diagnosis alone. Everything we do is made possible through the generosity of people who believe in surrounding families with hope, support, and meaningful experiences during one of the hardest seasons of their lives.

As a new organization, we are not yet supported by grants or large institutional funding. We are currently building this mission through individual donors, volunteers, and community partners who believe in what EPIC is becoming.

Your generosity directly helps us serve families facing a life-threatening diagnosis.

Donations are used to:

  • Fund custom family retreats

  • Cover travel, lodging, activities, and meals for families

  • Provide practical support such as home cleaning services

  • Create meaningful experiences that help families make lasting memories together

Every gift, no matter the size, helps a family step away from fear and stress and into a moment of connection and hope.

EPIC is built on the belief that families deserve to be cared for in both practical and meaningful ways — and that is only possible through the support of others who choose to give.

Volunteer With Us

Epic Family Retreats is also supported by volunteers who help care for families during retreats and behind the scenes.

We welcome volunteers who are:

  • Compassionate and dependable

  • Willing to serve without seeking recognition

  • Able to put the needs of families first

  • Comfortable supporting children and family activities in a helpful, grounded way

Volunteers may include adults, young adults, and mature teenagers who understand the importance of serving families during a sensitive and emotional season.

Some volunteers may assist during retreats, while others may help with planning, coordination, or practical support such as setup, cleanup, or family activities.

We ask that volunteers are able to cover their own personal expenses when participating in retreats or service trips.

Nominate a Family

One of the most important parts of EPIC Family Retreats is helping us find families who may benefit from support.

We rely on healthcare professionals, community members, friends, and family members to help identify families where a parent is facing a life-threatening diagnosis and children are still living at home.

If you know a family walking through this kind of journey, we invite you to nominate them.

Our goal is simple: to come alongside families during a season they never expected and help them feel supported, seen, and cared for.

EPIC Family Retreats is still in its early stages. We are building carefully, serving one family at a time, and growing through relationships, trust, and shared belief in this mission.
